Drew Alexis has conducted presentations, seminars and webinars for numerous organizations, including the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA), Council on Education in Management, Lorman Educational Services, Business & Legal Resources (BLR), Out & Equal Workplace Advocates, the Mortgage Bankers Association, California Bankers Association, Long Beach Chamber of Commerce and other professional organizations. Drew frequently speaks on wage and hour laws and leave of absence and reasonable accommodation issues under the various federal and state disability and leave of absence laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and California Family Rights Act (CFRA). For Council on Education in Management, Mr. Alexis has given extensive two-day seminars on the interplay between FMLA/CFRA, the California Workers’ Compensation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA), and the Pregnancy Disability Leave (PDL) law.
In addition to the numerous events Mr. Alexis has participated in, he has authored two chapters on FMLA issues for two educational workbooks published by the Council on Education in Management.
